P4 is the first year Science is examined, and the first year your child has to explain rather than name. Most P4 pupils can label a digestive system and still score nothing on ‘explain why.’ Recall isn’t the problem. Application is.

Why the name is the design
Most P4 Science programmes teach the syllabus and hope the marks follow. We designed the year backwards from the part that actually earns marks — applying and explaining — and let the name remind us, every lesson, to finish there.
The whole syllabus, taught early
We finish the entire P4 Science syllabus by the start of Term 3. The remaining sixteen weeks go to application, process skills and exam work — because that’s where marks actually move.
Apply, then Score
Every lesson ends with an Apply section and a Score section. These are the two parts that carry the marks, and they are never cut.
What makes it different

The syllabus is finished before Term 3
Five topic areas don’t need forty weeks. Finishing early turns the back half of the year from teaching into mastery.
Prep blocks that move with your child’s school

Live Science, not just worksheet Science
Key concepts are demonstrated through live experiments wherever possible, so pupils move from "I was told this" to "I saw what happened, I understand why, and I can explain it."

Naming the question, then building the answer
Most pupils lose marks not because they don’t know the Science, but because they can’t tell what kind of answer the question wants. We teach them to name it first.
